SpaceX Dragon Docks with the International Space Station (ISS)

In what is sure to be the first of many private sector adventures into space, the company SpaceX’s Dragon space ship has successfully docked with the International Space Station (ISS). Dragon’s mission is a two week long venture transferring new equipment to the ISS and loading old gear on board for the return trip to Earth. On her return trip she will land somewhere in the Pacific Ocean 100 miles or so off the coast of California. This is proof that space travel can be privatized and that missions can and will continue without the need for governments to get involved. Congratulations NASA and SpaceX, may you live long and prosper :-)
